Garlic is an ancient ingredient. Originating in Central Asia some 5,000 years ago, it has been used throughout the decades for cooking as a culinary herb, health and medicinal purposes.

Garlic was reportedly used by the Egyptians in as early as 3000 BC. This wonder bulb then spread to Pakistan , West India, and throughout China. It was the Spanish, Portuguese and French that introduced it to the western world.

Whether cooked, eaten raw or taken in a vitamin pill, the garlic clove is a “little wonder” still claiming many dietary, health, disease prevention, cures and medicinal uses, today.
